A major Road Traffic Incident has been reported at Brownlow Bridge on the B488 towards Leighton Buzzard / Horton. The B488 is currently closed in both directions Station Road to Cheddington turning, Police, Fire and Ambulance in attendance. Please use an alternative route until the road is reopened.

TVP have advised the road will remain closed for a considerable time and there would be a statement from TVP shortly

Sunday 7 May

Firefighters assisted the police and ambulance services at the scene of a collision involving a car and a van, Great Gap, Ivinghoe. Two appliance and crews from Aylesbury and an officer attended.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Ivinghoe.

At around 6.40am this morning (7/5) a collision occurred on the B488 Station Road.

A blue VW Golf and a white Mercedes Citan van were in a collision.

Sadly, as a result of the collision, a passenger in the VW Golf, sustained serious injuries and died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

Investigating officer Sgt Mark Ashby, of the Roads Policing department based at Amersham police station said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a blue VW Golf driving from the direction of Bletchley and the Stoke Hammond by-pass towards Ivinghoe prior to the collision.
