Ivinghoe Parish Council have become aware of four sets of roadworks. The effect of these roadworks is that the High Street will be under traffic light control for the best part of 1.5 weeks. Details as follows.

2nd Feb – 8th Feb inclusive

Gas main installation outside 41 High Street, approx. 50m from the school entrance. Traffic lights to be used to control the flow of vehicles. This will probably mean that parking of vehicles between the school and the scout hut will be severely restricted. Expect delays, especially at school times. The bus stops will not be affected.

13th – 14th Feb inclusive

Pothole repair outside former chapel, 35 High Street. Traffic lights to be used to control the flow of vehicles. This will probably mean that parking of vehicles between the school and the scout hut will be severely restricted. Expect delays. The bus stops will not be affected.

13th Feb – 12th Mar inclusive

Scaffolding to be erected at 8 High Street, opposite Groomsby Drive and left in place for approx. one month. This will cover the pavement but we have been advised a pedestrian way will be made available underneath the scaffolding. The footpath at this point will be restricted in width.

10th Feb – 20th Feb inclusive (POSTPONED)

Water main installation along the length of High Street from Kings Head to Green Lane. 3-way traffic lights to be used to control traffic.

Further Updates

Will be posted here as and when we become aware of them. Please check back regularly.
